[CS8-11] Experimental study on the joint between the steel girder and “ultra-high durable bridge slab (Dura-Slab)”
Keywords:Dura-Slab, High strength fiber reinforced concrete, Aramid FRP rod, stud, Joint
In recent years, the deterioration of bridge slabs has become a serious social problem in Japan, and replacements of slabs are being conducted in highways. Concrete slabs require proper maintenance, however, the shortage of engineers and the increase in maintenance costs are expected to become more serious in the future. It is necessary to minimize the burden of maintenance in the future, and it is desired that the slab has a high durability. Therefore, we have developed an ultra-high durable bridge slab (Dura-Slab) that does not use any corrosive steel materials such as steel bars and PC steel strands. This paper describes the experimental results of the joint between the steel girder and the Dura-Slab.
