[CS9-15] Video image-based analysis of dynamic behaviors of bridge bearings
Keywords:Image analysis, Remote sensing, Dynamic behavior, Displacement, Rotation angle, Bridge bearing
This paper describes an experimental study on video image-based monitoring technology to acquire dynamic behavior of bridge bearings. In the experiment, we use an Optical Vibration Analysis System. The system analyses video images of bridge bearings or lower side of beams recorded by a video camera, and then calculates the time histories of displacements to acquire the dynamic behavior of the bridge parts.
The experimental results show the system is capable of measuring three-dimensional displacement and a rotation angle of an optical-axis of the video camera as dynamic behavior of bridge bearings. The time required for installation can be shortened to about 1/4 of the conventional method.
