In railway structures, derailment has occurred in Shinkansen vehicles following a recent large-scale earthquake. We evaluated the number of derailed trains of Shinkansen vehicles on the entire route, and calculated the expected value of the number of derailed trains on the entire route. In this case, whether or not the derailment limit of the vehicle during the earthquake occurred was evaluated based on nonlinear numerical simulation considering dynamic interaction.
