Keywords:Concrete Dam, Fill Dam, Climate Change, Over Topping Protection, Rehabilitation, Research Report
In recent years, the effects of climate change have become apparent, and adaptive development and maintenance of flood control facilities that take into account changes in external force conditions are required in order to steadily prevent water-related disasters. In the U.S. and other foreign countries, there are examples of rehabilitation to dam facilities that can be implemented even when it is difficult to make large-scale modifications, such as raising dams, in case of floods that exceed the current plan.
In order to respond to requests for rehabilitation in Japan, it is necessary to understand detailed information about design method and detailed technology of rehabilitation.
