[II-35] Study on GPGPU for flood simulation

There is increasing flood risk on construction sites due to localized heavy rain. However, it is impossible to predict the localized heavy rain within 30 minutes. Flood simulation must be conducted as fast as possible to preserve enough time for evacuation and flood prevention measures.
In this research, we investigated how effective GPU is for flood simulation. GPUs were applied on the shallow-water equation and evaluated the influence of number of meshes on calculation speed. Calculation precision was analyzed for both double and single precision calculation.
