Joints that can be used for shield tunnel segments have been developed that can omit secondary lining and that can be constructed at high speeds and that can be automatic construction. The importance and necessity of segment joints for labor saving is increasing. The authors developed single-head anchor joints (High grip anchor joints) that are segment ring joints that can be expected to have high fastening force. This paper gives an overview of the joint. In addition, we report the results of various performance confirmation tests performed using the joint only and concrete specimens.
