It is difficult to evaluate the soundness of reinforced soil walls because the reinforcing materials are buried. The anticorrosive effect of the galvanized anticorrosive layer of the reinforcing material deteriorates with time and may corrode. In this study, a corrosion promotion test using a simulated embankment was conducted using a corrosion environment sensor. As a result, it was found that the corrosion environment sensor can detect the deterioration of the corrosion protection effect of galvanizing and the occurrence of corrosion, and can be applied to the preventive maintenance of reinforcing materials.
