Keywords:Precast arch culvert, Longitudinal load, Field measurement

In the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake, damages such as cracks and concrete peeling of joints occurred on the 3-hinge precast arch culvert (hereinafter, 3-hinge arch) on the highway. It has been analyzed that this damage was caused by the fact that the 3-hinge arch behaved individually during the earthquake and collapsed in the longitudinal direction. In this study, the longitudinal load acting on the 3-hinge arch was measured at the realization site, and the consistency with the past numerical analysis results was confirmed. As a result, it showed the same tendency as the past numerical analysis results, and it was found that longitudinal load could be analyzed analytically.
