[IV-100] Analyses and Proposals on Railway Station Neighboring Districts in Metropolitan Suburb Considering Trip Characteristics
Keywords:Newtown, Railway Station Neighboring Districts, Space Syntax Theory, Moving resistance
In the metropolitan area, a large-scale new town centered on a railway station was developed to meet the demand for housing generated by the concentration of the population during the period of high economic growth. However, despite the fact that the area around the station is a highly public area, the number of station users has decreased due to the personalized use of cars and intensified competition among regions. In this study, we focus on the area in front of and around the station, which is a traffic node and the central area of the city.
