[V-169] Influence of admixtures on scaling deterioration of road bridge slab concrete
Keywords:Scaling, Blast furnace slag, Fly ash, RILEM CIF/CDF, Ettringite, Pore structure
Road bridge concrete slabs in cold regions are subject to combined deterioration due to freezing and thawing action and permeation of chloride ions contained in the road surface deicing agent. As a countermeasure, concrete slabs using blast furnace slag fine powder and fly ash, which are admixtures with high salt permeation suppression effect, are currently being tested. However, it has been reported that when blast furnace slag fine powder is used, scaling deterioration is accelerated. In this study, we investigated the physical effects and hydrate effects that could cause scaling deterioration of concrete using admixtures with compressive strength of actual floor concrete.
