The authors are working on coal ash (raw powder) activity at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The mechanical properties and stability (creep and crushing properties) of the artificial ground material (gravel) used for the foundation mound are reported by a triaxial test using a large triaxial testing machine.
