The purpose of this study is to understand the chloride diffusion resistance in the hydrated alumina cement mortar by measuring effective chloride diffusion coefficient and pore size distribution. The results show that the mortar without setting accelerator admixture has higher chloride resistance compared to OPC mortar, whereas the alumina cement mortar with the admixture reduces its chloride diffusion resistance capacity. It was found that the effective diffusion coefficient of chloride decreased with decreasing the pore volume in the range of 10-100 nm.
