[V-443] Development of concrete slump retention technology by higher-order structural surfactant
Keywords:Admixture, Long distance and time transportation, Retention, Early-stage strength, Surfactant, Higher-order structure
The needs for concrete admixture over slump retention are growing in accordance with increase in the number of long distance and time transportation. Retention is improved by controlling hydration of cement and/or absorption of water-reducing agent, however, they are in trade-off sometimes. In this report, we studied over slump retention technology by higher-order structural surfactant, aiming at balancing between retention and early-stage strength. As a result, we confirmed characteristic adhesion-absorption behavior of the surfactant by TOC analysis and balanced between retention and early-stage strength.
