In dam construction works, such as concrete dam and flood spillways, require the concrete to be piled up upwards, so we uses a steel slide type formwork that can be easily slid upwards. Although slide type formwork has high functionality, further rationalization is required due to the recent changes in social situations. The authors develop an automatic mobile formwork for dams with enhanced functionality by applying robotics technology, and report on the results.
