Recently, there are a lot of cases found where damages in transmission towers are confirmed to be caused by the effects of abnormal weather. However, due to the shortage of engineers, the number of on-site patrols on transmission towers has been decreasing. Therefore, the authors propose an advanced transmission tower maintenance method that utilizes inclination sensor technology. This paper summarizes the creation of an analytical model that represents the measurement values of tower displacement and inclination angle measured in the transmission tower displacement test that was conducted by the authors.
