[SS01B-04] Basic Study on Usage of Numerically Manufactured Solution for Verification of Non-linear Finite Element Analysis of Concrete Structures

Quality assurance of the numerical simulation, which is achieved by Verification & Validation, is an important issue in civil engineering and earthquake engineering. Usage of the method of numerically manufactured solution is feasible to solve the problem of Verification; the analytical solution is not usually acquired in problems treating the materials of complex constitutive relations. As a basic study of the usage of the method, we applied it to a simple concrete material analysis. We show that it is necessary to choose an appropriate non-linear analysis method to pass the Verification in using strain softening materials such as a concrete.
