Symposia

Recent advances in omics analysis have revealed various cell differentiation lineages and the genes involved in them. Accordingly, "direct reprogramming," a technology that directly differentiates somatic cells such as fibroblasts into desired cells without the need for stem cells, has emerged as a next-generation regenerative medicine. In this symposium, we invite speakers to present their latest results related to the development of direct reprogramming methods focusing on pioneer transcription factor functions and distinctive omics technologies. Presenting a reliable path from the understanding of gene regulatory mechanisms to regenerative medicine, we would like to illuminate a next direction of developmental biology as pioneers of this field.
