[生涯スポーツ-C-08] STEP VARIATION METHOD (SVM): A CORRECTIVE APPROACH ACCURATING FOOT PLACEMENT(方,バ,Kinematics)
ABSTRACT Around 70% of the population is overpronate (Runnersneed, 2023), but the number with general functional pronation (GFP) is much higher. Incorrect stepping or contact of plantar surface of a foot on the ground disturbs the soft tissues thereof. When this becomes habitual or permanent, it leads to further deformity of lower extremities which in later stages get associated with middle and 20 upper body deformities involving knee joints, pelvic region and vertebrae. Eversion is the common deformed style of placing foot on ground which takes place in subtalar joint (i.e. the joint beneath tibiotalar joint of ankle). When plantar surface is angled laterally and medially, it is actually everting and inverting of the foot, respectively. Further, movement of the foot called supination and pronation are composed movements (i.e. three or more 25 combined movements) of the foot. Herein, supination involves subtalar inversion and pronation involves subtalar eversion. The Step variation Method (SVM) indicates the kinematical assessment of correct placement and positive effect s of the method. SVM involves the corrective attributes to stabilize the foot placement. Further Kinematic analysis says about the basic deformed shoes and foot wears thereof. Key Words: Pronation, Kinematic, Corretive, Assessment, Movement and Placement.
