The accidents of elderly drivers are often due to lack of confirmation of safety at pedestrian crossings without traffic lights. We experimented with a driving simulator to clarify the relationship between the timing of appearance of three-dimensional road markings and the willingness to stop for elderly drivers. The study subject drove in a road space with a "pedestrian priority" sign. As a result, it was found that one road marking and full color pavement were the most effective.
