[8A-05] Comprehension of Pictograms in situations when the intended actions are recalled

The purpose of this study is to clarify the conditions for universal design of pictograms to be inclusive of diversity and the research methodology. In this study, 19 adults with intellectual disabilities were surveyed to select pictograms that were easy to understand based on their recall of the intended action. It was found that the person symbolizing the location, the actual orientation, motion line, the location element and the length of the arrow axis were the graphic elements that influenced comprehension.
