[9B-05] Research on comfortable and safe bathing for the elderly

In Japan, there are many cases of death in the bathtub due to heatstroke while taking a bath. Bathing accidents for the elderly have become a social problem particularly in Japan. In this research, we aim to design a monitoring device during bathing and a system of bathing environment that accompanies it to continue bathing habits more safely. We want to estimate the timing of getting out of the bath while monitoring the core body temperature by measuring the ear body temperature, so that we are trying to propose a new mechanism to encourage safe bathing. In addition, we are researching a lighting system that inducespsychological effects by using the visual effects of colors to make users feel warmer than the real temperature of water surrounding them. We aim to propose a bathing system that is both safe and comfortable.
