キーワード:COVID-19 , Colors of Masks, Color Images
Starting from 2020, the outbreak of COVID-19 has swept across the globe. The government in Taiwan introduced the “Name-Based Mask Distribution System (NBMDS)” to control the quantity supplied. The purpose of the present study is to explore how the passively assigned colors of masks triggered people's emotions when people in Taiwan received NBMDS masks during the pandemic. This study found that during the pandemic, light blue and light green accounted for 66.75% of the mask colors obtained by Taiwanese people from NBMDS. More than half of the people have gotten these two mask colors passively. It can be speculated that during the implementation of NBMDS, the overall emotional feelings of Taiwanese people towards the color of masks are normal and fresh for the most. Due to the general anxiety and depression of the public during the pandemic, the results of this study can be used for government policies as a reference. When implementing relevant systems, attention should be paid to the influence of color on people’s emotions.
