[1P52] Magnetism of heavy Fermion CeRu2Si2 tailored by spintronics technique
f-electron compounds, often referred to as "heavy fermion systems," are abundant in intriguing properties. However, many of these properties are manifested at extremely low temperatures, limiting their practical applications as materials. This study aims to artificially and actively express novel properties and functionalities to f-electron compounds by using spintronics technique. In this experiment, a few nanometers of ferromagnetic Fe were deposited on the surface of the 4f-electron compound CeRu2Si2, and the induced magnetic characteristics at the interface were evaluated using soft X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) spectroscopy. We obtained XMCD spectra and XMCD hysteresis curves for CeRu2Si2(001)/Fe(2 nm) under various elemental absorption edges and temperature conditions. Interestingly, the magnetic hysteresis shapes and their temperature dependence differ for each element. In the presentation, we will discuss possible origins of these interesting results.
