The MgMn₂O₄ oxides are of significant importance for Mg-ion battery owing to its superior specific capacity (272 mA h g⁻¹) and high energy density (1000 Wh kg⁻¹). Thus, synthesis of the MgMn₂O₄ oxides are particularly important for study their charge−discharge behavior in Mg-ion batteries. In this work, we report the synthesis of MgMn₂O₄ by supercritical fluid processing. Furthermore, the spinel MgMn₂O₄ was test as cathode for Mg-ion battery in coin-cell type.
