We investigated the Os 5d electronic structures of 5d2 double-perovskite Ba2CaOsO6 that are proposed to exhibit magnetic octupole order using the O K-edge resonant inelastic X-ray scattering through the strong hybridization between the O 2p and Os 5d orbitals.
