[S39] Additional 'α' besides own expertise for pharmacy graduates continuing career in innovative pharmaceutical industry

Innovative pharmaceutical industry focuses on such as regenerative medicine, antibody medicine, or gene therapy, which demands personnel based on scientific background, especially, in the any division communicating with healthcare professionals. Meanwhile the personnel require continuous career development besides their expertise. Six-year pharmacy graduates with medical viewpoints have the qualifications suitable for the diversity of pharmaceutical industry except for special research ability: the industry is interested in their features, clinical experiences, or solidarity with healthcare professionals. However, it would be concerned that employment rate of new pharmacy graduates at the industry has decreased from 30-40% to 10% in the last 30 years.
Therefore, we would like to discuss and propose '+ α', which is necessary for pharmacy graduates, in addition to their expertise to continue their careers as following; (1) Global diverse activities for human health in pharmaceutical industry and positive proposals for graduates in pharmaceutical sciences; (2) The needs for MR in future medical care·new MR certification system and the future; (3) Building better new relationships between hospital pharmacists and the pharmaceutical industry; (4) Discussion.
We hope that pharmacy students, educators, or all of audiences here could be informed of the appeal as to career of pharmacists in innovative pharmaceutical industry.
