カスケード損傷下で形成される欠陥集合体に及ぼす積層欠陥エネルギー(SFE)の影響を解明することを目的とし、複数の原子間ポテンシャルを用いた分子動力学計算を行った。SFEが低い程、可動な格子間原子型集合体の密度、積層欠陥を含む空孔集合体の密度が上昇することが明らかとなった。
