Keywords:austenitic steel, mechanical property change, molecular simulation

Focusing on the austenitic stainless steels of low stacking fault energy (SFE), we investigated the effect of SFE on the interaction between a screw dislocation and void, which is one of the micro mechanisms of irradiation hardening. It is acknowledged that the constriction of dislocations and the accompanying cross-slip are factors that determine the interaction morphology.
