CFD analysis has been performed for unsteady hollow vortexes which move on liquid free surface and lead to gas entrainment. The gas entrainment conditions were compared with experimental results. As a result, it was found that the evaluation method for the gas entrainment from the moving vortexes indicates rather conservative results.
