The authors proposed the critical heat flux (CHF) enhancement technique in saturated pool boiling of distilled water by attachment a Honeycomb Porous Plate (HPP) on the heated surface as an approach to develop In-Vessel Retention. The effects of a HPP on the CHF in saturated artificial seawater were investigated experimentally.
