Accelerator driven system (ADS) adopts liquid lead bismuth eutectic (LBE) for both spallation target and coolant for the non-critical core. Irradiation effects of steel materials on the corrosion in LBE were estimated in this report. After 20 dpa self-ion irradiation for T91 steels at 450 C, immersion in LBE bath was conducted at 450 C for 1000 hrs. Cross sectional SEM images of irradiated region shew the suppression of surface oxide layer thickness and the outflow of iron into the LBE deposition on the steel surface. This result suggests that mass transfer in the interface between LBE and steel is important for understanding of liquid metal corrosion in ADS.
