Neutron spin echo method is a neutron quasi-elastic scattering spectroscopy using spin degrees of freedom. A resonance-type spin echo method called “modulation of intensity with zero effort” (MIEZE) yields a sinusoidal modulation of neutron intensity in time. Information of the sample dynamics can be extracted from contrast reduction of the sinusoidal signals. Commissioning of neutron resonance spin echo spectrometers is in progress at BL06 at Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility of J-PARC. The MIEZE technique combined with time-of-flight method has different characteristics from conventional spin echo methods. A new data analysis method is thus required for efficient and reliable MIEZE measurements. We discuss a data analysis method for MIEZE technique in pulsed neutron sources.
