This study is to survey the feasibility of passive non-destructive assays (NDA) techniques of molten fuel material for their waste classification system. LaBr3 (Ce) detector is chosen and the detector response is evaluated by The Particle and Heavy Ion Transport code System (PHITS) 2.82 code simulation. The Minimum Detectable Activity (MDA) of 154Eu is determined and indirectly obtained alpha emitter density by performance evaluation for waste classification.
