A simulation code for hot molten material spreading behavior, MSPREAD, is under development as a module of THERMOS. The momentum equation is expressed by the shallow pool model to deal with two-dimensional spreading bahaviors. Models of viscosity increase caused by solidification, crust formation and heat transfer heat removal are implemented. Validation results based on simulant tests data will be shown.
