[3K13] Development of Cross Fin Heat Exchanger for Nuclear Power Plant

IHI has been developing the air cooled cross fin heat exchanger (CFE) for emergency cooling of nuclear power plants. The CFE has high cooling performance with industrial technology using for air conditioner, radiator etc. and this makes it possible to reduce size and weight comparing to conventional air fin cooler. The CFE has also the structure satisfying the nuclear power regulation and standard. The design and development status of demonstation CFE unit are presented.
