The effect of the operation condition of the centrifugal extractor on the extraction behavior of U was evaluated by CFD analysis based on turbulent numerical model considering mass transfer between liquid phases (aqueous phase and organic phase). The changes of U extraction performance with the O/A ratio (= organic flowrate / aqueous flowrate) and rotor speed were calculated, and these showed a good agreement with experimental results.
