[1I18] Environment inside Unit 2 at the time of the Fukushima nuclear accident inferred from radiocesium-bearing microparticles

Radiocesium-bearing microparticles (CsMPs) generated inside the reactor Unit 2 at the time of the Fukushima nuclear accident were investigated using TEM/STEM and STXM. As a result, we obtained the following three result: Fe in CsMPs is mainly ferrous iron; CsMPs contain a few percent of Na; CsMPs do not contain B. These results may impose restrictions on the reactor environment.
