Determination of critical control rod position of a reactor during burnup is quite complicated because Monte-Carlo cannot change the geometry during transport calculation. This study develops a utility tool coupled with MVP-BURN code to automatically seek the critical control rod position of the HTTR. With the new tool, the procedure to determine the critical control rod position becomes simple, and the calculation time is also reduced.
