To develop a new pyrometallurgical reprocessing method for MA-containing metal fast reactor fuels, the revmoval of FPs from the spent molten salts was invetigated. In the present study, the separation and recovery of iodine was studied in molte LiCl-KCl containing LiBr and LiI. First, the anodic oxidation behaviors of halide ions, such as Cl-, Br-, and I-, were investigated. Then, the separation and recovery of iodine was tested by the selective anodic iodine gas evolution and the subsequent reaction with cupper to form solid CuI.
