It is clarified that the accumulated Am produced by LWR’s operation can be decreased by introducing transmutation treatment of hydride Am in small FBR’s blanket regions and Pu fissile amount is also suppressed under current level. Taking one step further it is also clarified that the geological disposal capacity can be drastically decreased if Np is burned and Am is transmuted by the realization of FBR cycle system. Based on this, the overall picture of nuclear energy utilization is figured depending on the application scale and location.
