The Shielding Materials Standards Working Group is reviewing the policy of examining the standard concrete composition for shielding calculation. At the same time, in the dose evaluation for gamma ray source by concrete composition fluctuation, it was found that significant difference of dose rates was generated by various calculation methods in case of thick wall thickness, and a case study was carried out by changing calculation setting conditions. In this report, the progress of the examination of standard concrete composition and the consideration in the calculation of dose rate from γ-ray source in thick concrete shielding are introduced.
