In the licensing of radiation facilities,the operator conducts a shielding safety evaluation to ensure compliance with regulations, and the relevant authorities review the safety based on the results. Gamma-ray shielding evaluation is basically performed using a simple dose calculation by the point-kernel method. Currently, we have conducted a safety research to review the framework by incorporating the latest knowledge including the ICRP 2007 recommendations. In this presenation, we report on the dose effect and treatment of radiation from photonuclear reaction up to 30MeV or slant incident on the slab.
