[3J15] Counter-Current Flow Limitation in Rod Bundles

*Michio Murase1, Takaki Toshiya1, Koji Nishida1, Akio Tomiyama2 (1. Institute of Nuclear Safety System, Inc., 2. Kobe University)

Keywords:rod bundle, counter-current flow, upper tie plate, counter-current flow limitation

For counter-current flow limitation (CCFL) data in rod bundles with the flow area ratio of the upper tie plate to the rod bundle, 72-93.5 %, it was found that CCFL characteristics expressed by velocities in the bundle gave better agreement among CCFL data than those expressed by velocities at the upper tie plate with the narrowest flow area in the rod bundle.
