Keywords:nuclear fuel cycle, radioactive waste, vitrification, spent high burnup fuel, spent MOX fuel

In Japan, it is considered that the reprocessing of high burnup fuel and MOX fuel is performed by the promotion of the nuclear fuel cycle. And high-level radioactive waste associated with it is generated. Therefore, it is necessary to develop technologies such as reprocessing and vitrification technology. We report on the achievements in the development of the glass matrix in 2021.
