Synchrotron radiation-based micro XAFS analysis of artificially formed molybdates in borosilicate glass was performed using a focused beam of 1 μm square to analyze an aggregation area with a diameter of about 1 mm. The cations constituting the molybdates are mainly calcium, but salts of strontium and barium, which are also alkaline earth elements, are also present, and it was found that the molybdates are composed of several additional elements.
