加熱により加速試験を実施可能な気中酸化試験装置及び水中浸漬装置を作製し、各種模擬燃料デブリに対して空気雰囲気もしくは空気平衡水中にて実時間試験と加速試験を実施し、特定の環境条件下で1ミクロン以下の放射性微粒子が発生する模擬燃料デブリを特定した。
