Horizontal seismic isolation system using a laminated rubber bearing has been studied for a long time for improvement of seismic resistance of Sodium-cooled fast reactor.
Recently, the authors are developing a three-dimensional seismic isolation system to respond to noto only horizontal but also vertical seismic motion in order to respond to increased seismic motion and improve the seismic resistance of large-diameter vessel.
This paper describes the development of a unit type three-dimensional seismic isolation system that can integrate horizontal and vertical seismic isolation functions.
