[2F16] Feasibility Study of Integral Molten Chloride Salt Fast Reactor (II)
(3) Safety in case of reactivity insertion exceeding prompt criticality
Keywords:Molten Salt Fast Reactor, neutronics and thermal-hydraulics coupling, reactivity insertion, inherent safety, FLUENT, RELAP5-3D
The molten salt fast reactor has the characteristics of returning to the vicinity of the initial reactor power due to the inherent safety even if the super-promt critical reactivity is applied. It is shown by neutronics and thermal-hydraulics coupling analysis using the FLUENT code with UDF and the RELAP5-3D code.
