In fusion reactor liquid blanket systems, high thermal and economic efficiencies are expected, while a decrease in fuel efficiency by tritium permeation is a serious concern. To solve this issue, functional coatings using ceramics have been investigated and shown high tritium permeation reduction. Recently the compatibility of the coatings with liquid metals has been considered; however, the corrosion behavior under flowing conditions has not been clarified yet. In this presentation, the corrosion behavior of the functional coatings is reported through lithium-lead exposure tests under flowing conditions.
