[2M11] Glass Gas Electron Multiplier Detector using Dynamic Time-over-Threshold-Based Readout
キーワード:Micro Pattern Gas Detector, Glass Gas Electron Multiplier, Dynamic Time Over Threshold
The Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) is a widely used Micro Pattern Gas Detector (MPGD) for X-Ray Imaging. The GEM-based detector is compatible with developing large-area detector applications with high gain and spatial resolution. A compact and low complexity of readout system with good energy resolving capability becomes important for developing this detector. In this work, we developed a multichannel dToT-based readout system for Glass Gas Electron Multiplier (G-GEM). Photosensitive Etchable Glass (PEG3C) G-GEM was coupled with a 100 ×100 mm2 two-dimensional multichannel strip readout. The multichannel charge-sensitive preamplifier and the dToT readout are connected to each readout strip as an imaging system. The readout circuit achieved good linearity in the low complexity and compact board. Effective gain, energy resolution, and polarization were evaluated for the entire GEM-based detector system. We expect that the use of a multichannel strip readout system and good linearity in dToT can provide good spatial resolution performance in X-ray imaging demonstrations.
